On 25th August, we provided On the Day Coordination for Lisa & Harold at Branksome Dene Community Rooms.

This is the first time we have worked at Branksome Dene where a ceremony is also taking place, rather than a reception only, and it worked really well. It’s lovely when guests can arrive and not have to worry about going anywhere else.
Lisa, Harold & Harold’s daughter, decorated the room the evening before with fairy lights and paper lanterns that Lisa had bought and table cloths, chair covers and sashes, hired on a DIY basis from Tiger Lily Occasions.

Lisa got ready at home, whilst Harold, who is Dutch, got ready with his parents in a nearby hotel. Harold’s parents drove Lisa in the couple’s very cool camper van to Branksome Dene.

Lisa chose a simple dress that produced a stunning silhouette of her beautiful figure. It was perfect for their summer beach side wedding.
We picked up Lisa’s beautiful bouquet and the button holes from By Arrangement Florist and then met Miss Nattie’s Cupcakes at Branksome Dene so they could hand over the delicious cupcakes and tower for us to set it up later in the day. We even had a robin visit us whilst we were setting up, before any guests arrived. We like to think that’s a very good sign!

Lisa & Harold had an intimate wedding with only family and close friends – perfect for the venue size.
When guests arrived, they had a glass of Pimm’s or a soft drink, provided by A&D Mobile Bars before the ceremony. The ceremony took place inside, looking out to sea. Harold had brought along a hi-tech speaker, which enabled us to play the music for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we turned the room around from a ceremony set up to a reception set up.

Lisa & Harold were very lucky with the weather. In England, you never can tell what the weather will do but they had a dry day with lots of blue skies!

The couple’s dog, Sky, played a starring role in the day. Like us, Lisa & Harold treat their pupster like their child, so of course she would be included in the celebration!

Guests enjoyed lovely Thai food from Thai Smile. Lisa & Harold have visited their restaurant lots of times and loved their food so much that they chose it for their wedding day.

Lisa had worked hard prior to the wedding on personal touches for the day. She created some signs, a sweet table and favours of stroopwafels, which are Dutch (and delicious!)

It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with Lisa & Harold, as well as their lovely wedding guests, helping to make sure the day was not at all stressful for them.
