Wedding package: On-the-day coordination
Wedding venue: Sopley Mill, Christchurch, Dorset

From the couple: “I’ve known Sam for a few years now and knew right away I would be booking her for Day of Co-ordination, but I couldn’t imagine what a support she would be. During the 2 years of planning, she was never too busy to answer my questions, make a recommendation, or help me make a tough decision. Even more than that, my Mum’s health meant that, at one point, we thought we might have to bring the wedding forward by nearly a year. Sam was a rock. She listened to my tears and panic, sympathised, and reassured, way above and beyond a “supplier”, I’m proud to call her a friend. We were very lucky and, in the end, could stick to our original date, and the day could not have gone smoother. Sam worked away in the background, making sure everything happened when it was supposed to, that everything looked spectacular and that all our guests had everything they needed, including my poorly Mum! The band we booked for our evening reception had to cancel on the morning of our wedding, due to illness, but sent a replacement, and Sam made sure that 1) I didn’t panic and 2) our new musicians felt right at home. I really can’t emphasise enough how lovely it was to have Sam working with us, and just how good she is at that job. You will not regret hiring Sam.” Danika

What we did: Danika & Phill chose the beautiful Sopley Mill, near Christchurch, for their November wedding. It’s fair to say that their day was quite emotionally charged, as Danika’s mum had been very ill in the lead up to their wedding, to the point that they thought that they might need to bring the date forward. Luckily, they were able to keep the date as planned and enjoy the day with her.

It would be amiss of me not to mention Danika & Phill’s dog; Branock, a miniature schnauzer, who played a starring role in the wedding and made sure everyone knew he was there. Along with PJ, Danika’s parents’ dog (who has sadly passed on since), Branock walked down the aisle with the cutest wedding outfit – what can we say, we’re dog people too!

Despite the wedding being in November, the sun shone beautifully, and it only chilled off in the evening, but the plus side was some very cool sparkler shots.

We felt very lucky to help Danika & Phill coordinate their wedding day and bring some peace of mind, especially during a very stressful time for the family.
