Hello and a warm welcome to South Coast Weddings! I’m Sam, the founder of this Dorset wedding planning company, where we specialise in Wedding Planning and On-the-Day Coordination with a bucket load of smiles.

A Journey of Discovery

Believe it or not, I wasn’t one of those children who fantasised about fairy-tale weddings. No glass slippers or pumpkin carriages in my dreams! My story began in the picturesque landscapes of Canada, where I worked as a nanny and later in the charity sector. It was there, amidst organising special events and managing volunteers, that my passion for creating events was born.

After an incredible eight years abroad, I returned to the UK. With a blank slate and no set plans, I found myself bouncing between Derbyshire and Wales, helping my sisters during pivotal life changes, and finally settling on the stunning south coast. It was here in Dorset that I stumbled into the mesmerising world of weddings, and, like a puzzle completing itself, everything clicked into place.

Embracing the Wedding World

I dove into the wedding industry in 2012, bringing along my love for people and knack for orchestrating events. Countless weddings later, I’ve discovered that weddings are my fairy-tale after all!

Life Beyond Weddings

When I’m not weaving wedding dreams into reality, you might find me paddleboarding or sea-swimming with friends, sipping tea, or enjoying days out with my husband Mat and our dogs, Hudson and Mollie. Life became even more exciting/chaotic in May 2021 when our son, Burton, joined our family adventure!
