Wedding Package: On-the-day coordination
Wedding Venue: Branksome Dene Community Rooms, Dorset
From the couple: “Thank you for making our day perfect, we loved every minute of it!” Lisa & Harold
What we did: Lisa and Harold had a wonderful wedding day, surrounded by loved ones, at Branksome Dene Community Rooms. This great DIY wedding venue overlooks the beach and is located between Bournemouth and Poole.
We loved spending the day helping Lisa and Harold. They are a lovely couple who created lots of personal touches for their wedding day.
Our day started by collecting the wedding flowers from Westbourne and delivering them to Harold and Lisa’s home, where Lisa was getting ready. Harold was outside getting their VW camper ready, so we helped with the ribbons.
From there we went to open Branksome Dene Community Rooms and put the chairs out for the ceremony. We had a spectator in the form of a robin, who flew in and stayed for ten minutes, before flying off again.
The cupcakes were delivered, and we set them up on the cupcake tower provided. We also put signs, created by Lisa, and games outside before guests arrived. Guests enjoyed a glass of Pimm’s on arrival from A&D Mobile Bars, before being seated inside for the ceremony, conducted by Dorset Registrars.
After the ceremony, everyone had some downtime to enjoy the view and the beach. Harold is Dutch and had lots of friends and family over for the wedding, so it was lovely for them to enjoy the lovely weather and scenery. The view from Branksome Dene Community Rooms is just breathtaking!
When the Thai caterers arrived, we helped them set up before guests were served an abundance of delicious food. Of course, there was still room for a cupcake.
Lisa & Harold’s wedding day was so laid back, exactly as they wanted it. They didn’t have speeches or any formality, but guests enjoyed each other’s company, good food and drink and the amazing summer weather.
