Wedding package: On-the-day coordination

Wedding venue: Southover House, Dorchester, Dorset

From the couple: “Ollie and I would like to say a huge thanks to South Coast Weddings for their on-the-day help with our wedding. We had a festival style wedding, with quite a relaxed vibe, however, whilst our guests were relaxing and lapping up our free bar, Sam and Eleanor were working super hard behind the scenes to make sure all was running smoothly, so that all of the bridal party could enjoy the day without any worry. We’d all been working very hard in the run-up to the weekend, so the fact we could let our hair down on the day and night was such a relief. Any random task, Sam was happy to help – from first-dance confetti cannon blasting to beer-holding during photos, plus everything she helped with in the evening. I wasn’t made aware of any issues, nor was I needed for anything – and that’s all I could ask for really!” Lucy

What we did: This festival loving couple had planned an awesome wedding day with bright, vibrant colours and it was such a pleasure to help bring it to life on the day.

Their ceremony was at a church and afterwards the guests made their way back to Southover House where they made their way through the house, into the expansive garden lined with festival flags for welcome drinks and canapes. Hay bales were dotted around with blankets for seating and musicians played cool background sounds.

After enjoying the sunshine, guests made their way into the traditional marquee, which had been dressed in bright ribbons and rustic tables with the cutest little wellington floral centrepieces. Beales Gourmet Catering served a delicious three course meal with lots of wine. The speeches were beautiful, with just the right number of embarrassing stories.

After dinner, guests made their way outside to enjoy the evening warmth, helped by fire pits and beer in a wheelbarrow. The evening saw the most awesome band – the dance floor was full all night – and wood fired pizza.

To top off the night, Southover House has a basement, which Lucy & Ollie had turned in to an after-party club with decks, disco lights, and more beer!

This was a full day of fun-filled festival frolicking (try saying that after a few drinks).
