It’s safe to say that I’ve had a very varied career history. When leaving school, I had no idea what I wanted to do and so, as I enjoyed looking after children, pursued a career in Early Childhood Education.

I worked in a nursery for two years and then set off to Canada to be a nanny for two children (who are now fully grown adults!) Once the children had started school, I had quite a lot of spare time, so I volunteered for a disability charity in Calgary whilst attending college in the evenings to study events. This led on to being offered a position with the charity, creating their events; fundraisers, participant parties etc.

After eight years in Canada and gaining citizenship, I returned to the U.K at a bit of a loss as to what to do. So, I got myself a temp job in Derbyshire, where one of my sister’s lived at the time, for three months. I then went to live with my other sister for six months in Wales and had a job as a teaching assistant in a secondary school.

Following my little jaunt around, I returned to Dorset and took a fundraising position with Julia’s House Children’s Hospice and then went on to work as a fundraiser for Diverse Abilities. After a short stint at a marketing company, I knew that my passion for creative events wasn’t going anywhere and I set up my business in 2012.

I had my own wedding in 2013 in Burton and then at Sopley Lake, which was the most wonderful and relaxed day.

When I’m not doing all-things wedding, I’m at home with my husband, Mat, and two dogs, Hudson and Mollie. You can usually find me drinking a cup of tea!

I just love meeting new people, so getting to meet new couples all the time is just amazing. I have made lots of amazing friends through planning weddings and being able to stay in touch and celebrate life events with everyone, is such a joy!
