Keep in touch with your venue and other wedding suppliers. They will be able to give you a sense of whether you need to postpone your date. Be aware that they will be inundated with calls and emails, so be patient.
You may not be able to hold a date or multiple dates with suppliers. This isn’t them being difficult, they are simply trying to be able to provide alternate available dates to as many of their clients as possible. If you are considering postponing, talk to your venue and registrar/celebrant first about which dates they have available and then contact all of your suppliers with those dates and fingers crossed, they can all do one of those dates. It is likely that not all of your chosen suppliers will be available for the new date.
Don’t panic! Here’s what to do: Talk to your wedding insurance company. You may be able to claim the deposit that you paid to the supplier you can no longer use. Ask your suppliers for recommendations. You chose them because you trusted them – let them help you.
