Wedding Dorset

On Saturday 25th July, we had the pleasure of coordinating Melissa and Andy’s blessing and wedding reception in Dorset.

Melissa and Andy met at school and have been together ever since. They have two young boys and very busy work schedules so organising a wedding hasn’t been very high on the agenda over the years.

A few years ago, Andy and his friend, Darren, started a mobile bar business called A&D Mobile Bars. After being hired at wedding after wedding, they thought it was time to have their own…Melissa & Andy, not Andy & Darren!

They both knew that they wanted a day that was relaxed and informal, with space for the children to run around. Farmer Palmer’s Field was the perfect option. Along with some fantastic local suppliers, everything was planned and the day soon arrived.

Andy & Melissa couldn’t have been any luckier with the weather. The day before the wedding, it poured & poured (as well as the day after), but on Saturday 25th July, the sun shone brightly.

The groom, his best man and groomsmen arrived at 1:15pm on Ringwood Brewery’s Bedford truck and the bride and her bridesmaids arrived at 1:30pm in their friend’s VW vintage camper vans.

They were lucky enough to have their ceremony outside, with only a gentle breeze – the perfect wedding weather!

After the ceremony, Dine In Leisure provided Pimms and canapes for guests to enjoy while they congratulated the happy couple

The photographer, Bridle Photography, then organised the group photos and also took the couple and their children off on their own for some lovely photos.

Everyone then sat down for what were quite frankly, the most emotional wedding speeches we’ve ever heard. Truly beautiful! Luckily everyone had some delicious food to recover with. Dine In Leisure served salmon, beef, couscous, pasta and salad. It was the perfect food for a sunny day! At 5pm an ice cream van pulled into the field with its music going – as you can imagine, the children (and adult children) were beside themselves!

The day turned into evening seamlessly and the relaxing atmosphere continued. Having a marquee with outside space meant that guests, especially children, could wander freely about as they pleased and enjoy the outside games and BBQ throughout the evening.

Pegasus Disco DJ’d for the evening and kept the dance floor full until going home time! We were truly honored to be involved with this wedding – congratulations Andy & Melissa! x

“Thank you so much for all your help organising & coordinating our wedding last weekend. It was the day of our dreams and more, it went totally to plan down to every last detail, without your expertise and advice it would have not been possible. Andy & I have had a huge amount of feedback from all our family and friends which has been overwhelming, everyone has said it was spectacular relaxed fun and different, that is the reaction I wanted!. I would highly recommend you. Thank you for all your hard work and for going the extra mile right down to doing me my picture wall and for all the late evening meetings to fit around our busy agendas. Andy & I had a truly fantastic day and are extremely happy with every part of it. Thank you Sam xxxxxx”
